Meet Kokonotsu Shikada, a laid-back guy who dreams of being a manga author but is stuck in his family’s rural sweets shop. His dad has high hopes for him to take over the shop one day, but that’s not really on Kokonotsu's radar. Enter Shidare Hotaru, a quirky girl from a big-time sweets company, who drops by one summer day with a proposition: if she can snag Kokonotsu for the family business, his dad will join hers. It’s a sweet but messy battle of dreams, and things are about to get deliciously complicated!
