Dokugakuji

Meet Dokugakuji, the tough-as-nails bodyguard from the anime Saiyuki. He’s the older half-brother of Sha Gojyo, and the two have a bit of a complicated backstory. Once known as Sha Jien, he’s a full youkai, born from his father’s legal wife, while Gojyo hails from the less respectable side of the family. Their childhood was far from easy—Dokugakuji had to step in during some seriously rough moments, even saving Gojyo from their mom’s violent rage. Now, he’s the loyal right-hand man to Kougaiji, the youkai prince, wielding his sword like a pro and always ready for a fight.
