Emiri is a quietly charming second-year student with flowing, light green hair that adds a pop of color to her polished look. She makes her debut in *Mysterique Sign*, chatting with the SOS Brigade about being the Computer Research Society president's girlfriend—but it turns out that's not true at all. This discovery leads Kyon to wonder if she’s another Humanoid Interface, like Yuki. Eventually, she becomes the Student Council's secretary, possibly even Yuki's boss due to Yuki’s chaotic choices. Emiri also secretly works as a waitress at a popular cafe, bending school rules while sporting that serene smile. In *The Astonishment of Haruhi Suzumiya*, it’s revealed that she’s partly powered by Yuki’s judgment skills during Yuki's downtime, making her a bit more complex than she seems. Asakura gives Kyon a heads-up—Emiri’s more constrained by orders than she appears, often merely observing from the sidelines.
