Mahiru is your typical chill high school freshman who loves to keep life low-key. One day, while walking home, he stumbles upon an exhausted black cat sprawled on the sidewalk. Feeling a bit sorry for it, he takes the little furball home, names him Kuro, and slaps a bell on his collar. But surprise! Kuro’s not just a cat; he’s actually a vampire known as Sleepy Ash. Mahiru’s had it tough since his mom passed away young, and with his busy uncle Toru raising him, he learned to fend for himself and whip up some impressive home-cooked meals.
