Jouichirou Yukihira

Meet Jōichirō, the chill yet fiercely competitive owner of Yukihira diner in Sumire Shopping District and Sōma Yukihira’s dad. He’s got cooking skills that could impress any chef in the world. As Sōma's only parent and mentor, he balances being a laid-back buddy with a serious chef mode that kicks in when it’s time to whip up a meal. Both Jōichirō and Sōma have a knack for creating comically terrible experimental dishes. Always eager to keep Sōma on his toes, Jōichirō challenges him to cook-offs, often coming out on top while pushing his son to grow. After heading abroad, he urged Sōma to dominate at Tōtsuki Academy for a shot at surpassing his old man.
