Caynz was a player who met an untimely death in a city where, legend has it, such things shouldn't even happen. There’s a protection code in place, but somehow he ended up as a ghost story. To throw off Kirito and Asuna, his buddy Yoruko cleverly spun a tale, calling him Kains—a name that rang alarm bells since another player with the same name had perished under strange conditions the year before. Once part of the now-defunct Golden Apple guild, they believed someone in their ranks betrayed them, leading to a wild plan: convince the guild that their dead leader had returned for revenge.
