Dende

Dende is a laid-back Namekian who steps up to become Earth’s god after his mentor Kami merges with Piccolo. He first pops up during the Namek Saga when Gohan and Krillin swoop in to rescue him from Dodoria's clutches. Thanks to their elder, he gains incredible healing powers and sticks by the Z fighters as they take on Freeza, though he sadly meets his end at the tyrant's hands. After a quick revamp thanks to Shenlong, he settles on New Namek until Goku comes calling during the Cell Saga, asking Dende to take up the mantle as Earth’s new god. He happily obliges, continuing his divine duties throughout the series.
