Seiji Amasawa

Seiji's a typical boy who first pops up reading a book that Shizuku accidentally left behind. Inside, he discovers her song lyrics and, secretly, he digs them. But when Shizuku shows up to reclaim her book, he teases her, calling the lyrics corny, which earns him a fiery “jerk” from her. You’ll often spot him zipping around town on his bike, like the time he returned her forgotten lunch with a cheeky comment about its size—she shot back with annoyance, of course. As an aspiring violin maker, he’s got dreams of his own, and when he invites Shizuku to sing along to “Country Road,” they become fast friends, bonding over music. Later, when Seiji gets the chance to study in Italy, Shizuku realizes how different their paths are. But he promises to come back, even asking her to marry him one day, and she eagerly says yes. It’s a sweet, messy friendship full of dreams and promises!
