Poppo is the first buddy Jinta reconnects with, and he’s just as lively as ever! As a kid, he was a ball of energy, always cheering Jinta on as their group's unofficial leader. When Jinta shows up at their old clubhouse while searching for Menma, he finds Poppo still hanging out there, juggling a bunch of part-time jobs to fund his globe-trotting adventures. He hasn’t been to school in years and has a taste for the risqué, with some questionable magazines lying around. Poppo’s quest to escape his past, especially the haunting memories of Meiko, leads him back to his roots, ultimately helping him find peace.
