Meet Hasegawa, a 179 cm tall guy with a pretty wild backstory. Once a loyal servant in the Bakufu, his life took a nosedive after a mishap with an Amanto guy named Prince Hata. Instead of bowing to shame, he punched Hata and got fired—classic move, right? He used to think the Amanto were the main deal, but after meeting Gintoki, he flipped his perspective. Now, he’s on a quest through a string of dead-end jobs, sporting his signature sunglasses and goatee, which don’t do him any favors. Nicknamed "Madao," meaning "totally useless middle-aged man," he’s just trying to find his groove.
