As a member of the Li clan, a lineage of sorcerers from Hong Kong, he’s got some serious magic heritage, being a distant relative of the legendary Clow Reed, creator of the Clow Cards. Initially, he’s a bit of a rival to Sakura, thinking those cards should belong to him. But as the story unfolds, he trades competition for camaraderie and develops a sweet crush on Sakura, turning their rivalry into a blossoming friendship.
