Shinsuke Takasugi

Standing at 170 cm, this guy is hard to miss with his colorful kimono, eerie grin, and bandaged left eye. A former buddy of Gintoki and Katsura, he’s now the ringleader of a radical group called the Kiheitai, notorious among the Shinsengumi as the most dangerous dude around. After childhood adventures together and fighting off the Amanto invaders, he dropped off the radar, resurfacing with a bloody reputation for taking out key Bakufu officers and plotting a coup. He loves festivals, but only for the chaos they bring. Oh, and he’s got the skills to match swords with Gintoki and Katsura, plus he can even strum a shamisen while plotting his next big move.
