Meet Madara, a mysterious spirit in the shape of an adorable maneki neko, or lucky cat, thanks to being sealed in a shrine for ages. Natsume accidentally sets him free, and he quickly earns the nickname Nyanko-sensei. This quirky duo becomes inseparable, with Natsume having to convince his guardians to let him keep this magical cat as a pet. Underneath his fluffy exterior, Madara is a powerful protector, teaching Natsume spells and demanding the Book of Friends in return. Their playful banter often leads to some hilarious moments, including Natsume throwing punches at Madara, who surprisingly loves playing with cat toys!
