Takashi Natsume

Meet Natsume Takashi, a 5'6" high schooler with a serious family legacy. He’s got his late grandmother’s knack for spotting spirits, or ayakashi, and inherited a mysterious book that binds these entities in servitude. Unfortunately, his resemblance to Grandma Reiko makes him a target for vengeful spirits wanting the Book of Friends back. To shake them off, he plans to return every name in the book to its owner. With his wise but snarky youkai buddy, “Nyanko-sensei,” by his side for protection, Natsume navigates life after a rough childhood spent hopping from relatives to finally finding a caring home with the Fujiwaras. He’s friendly yet has a short fuse, especially with his cuddly sidekick. As he releases spirits and learns their names, it comes at a cost—each spell drains his energy. But hey, Natsume’s determined to make things right, one spirit at a time!
