Anpu pops up now and then, always a part of the gang wondering why the cool kid, Saiki, doesn’t share the love. After getting rescued by Kusuo, he starts swinging by his house, just itching for some pets. One time, he roped Kusuo (in disguise as Sai) into helping him charm a lady cat named Pushi. But the tables turned when Anpu became a hero himself, saving Kusuo from a pesky cockroach—and guess what? Kusuo finally gave him the affection he craved.
