Taito Magatsu

Taito’s a standout among the Ittō-ryū’s best, hailing from humble beginnings. Driven by the tragic loss of his sister to a samurai, he picked up a sword and never looked back. He’s one of the few who have squared off against Manji and lived to tell the tale, even teaming up with him a few times. His heart took a hit when his lover, O-ren, met a tragic end at the hands of Shira. After parting ways with Ittō-ryū but still tight with Anotsu, he finds himself trailing Manji, knowing Shira’s hot on their heels. Their bickering masks a solid friendship, and eventually, Taito confronts Shira himself, leading to a fierce showdown. Armed with an impressive triple-sectioned sword he calls Grand Turk, Taito’s journey is a wild mix of vengeance, friendship, and some serious swordplay.
