Your lie in April

Meet Arima Kousei, a piano whiz kid who was basically a legend in the music scene. But after losing his mom, who was also his teacher, he had a meltdown on stage and lost his ability to hear his own music. Fast forward two years, and Kousei is just going through the motions of life, stuck in a dull world and hanging out with his buddies Tsubaki and Watari. Then enters Kaori Miyazono, a lively violinist with a flair for the dramatic. Her wild playing sparks a fire in Kousei, helping him rediscover the joy of music beyond the rules he’s been clinging to.
