In a distant future, people live in massive caves, completely clueless about the bright world above them. In the cozy little village of Jiha, Simon, a shy digger, stumbles upon a mysterious glowing object while working. Enter Kamina—a fearless dude with slick shades and an unstoppable spirit. He convinces Simon to join him and a few friends to form the Gurren Brigade, all in a quest to break through the cave ceiling and find the rumored surface.
