Hajime Shinonome had a rough start in life, growing up in the slums where he learned early on that strength was everything. Fast forward to now, and he’s living the dream as an easygoing adventurer in Komai Village. But during one of his quests, he stumbles upon a young girl named Lirui, in a pretty dire situation—being attacked by a squishy little slime! Lirui was abandoned by her parents and had braved the dungeon alone to survive. Feeling a surge of compassion, Hajime couldn’t just leave her there, so he decided to bring her back to his cozy village home.
