In a world where giant monsters, or Kaiju, are a common threat, Kafka Hibino is just trying to do his job in monster cleanup. But everything changes when he bumps into Mina Ashiro, his childhood friend who’s a rising star in the Kaiju Defense Force. Inspired to chase his dream of joining her, Kafka has a wild twist of fate and turns into Kaiju No. 8!
